 BASICS OF EFT FOR DOULAS

TIME: 10 AM to 2 PM (bring your lunch)

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is an emotional version of acupressure, in which certain
meridian points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.  Originally, EFT was
developed to reduce the time needed for people to process issues in therapy-- from months or
years, down to hours or even minutes.  It soon became obvious that as emotional problems
faded, physical health and personal performance issues improved.  As a result, EFT is quickly
spreading in the healing community.

I've found that EFT is one of my best and most frequently used tools in working with pregnant and
postpartum women.  You can literally use EFT for just about anything, and the tapping procedure
is EXACTLY the same for everything.  From the most mundane to very serious issues, when
properly applied, EFT gets results better than 80% of the time.  And once you learn it, you will
always have it with you.  All it takes is your heart and hands.

Come and learn the basics of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), a safe and holistic modality
that can greatly benefit your clients prenatally, during labor and birth, and afterward during the
postpartum period.  Even beginners can use EFT to help reduce or relieve:

In addition, EFT can be a great aid for the doula, helping to reduce or relieve fatigue, muscle strain,
birth disappointment, birth traumas and burn-out.

This class is designed to give you a foundation in the tapping procedure, the art of EFT delivery
(including affirmation phrases), and enough practice to allow you to immediately begin using EFT
in your doula practice and your life.  You'll also benefit from viewing a mini-session with our own
Kathryn Berkowitz, who has graciously consented to work on some of her birth trauma issues
with us.  I've attached a small testimonial from Kathryn below.  By tapping along with her in our
workshop, you'll be able to Borrow Benefits just like she did from tapping during the teleclass.  I
hope you'll join us!

I wanted to let you know about a couple of EFT breakthroughs I have had
since the teleclass. I was tapping the other night during the teleclass on
"deep sadness" with the other ladies and felt it resonate with me about
lingering deep sadness I have had over the death of my dear Mom from
lung cancer a few years ago.  To my surprise, the next morning, the awful
neuropathic pain that I have been experiencing in my left leg and foot for
several months was cut from a 10 to about a 4 !!!!!!!!  It has remained that
and I feel encouraged that I will continue to see improvements.

Also, yesterday, Molly and I went to Greenville to see the BBB film. It was
great, by the way. Anyhow, I had woken up with the feeling that a migraine
was coming on, so I tapped 3 rounds and felt better. Then, during the film, it
came back (almost with a vengeance) so I tapped during the film and within
20 minutes or so, it was GONE. I am totally amazed!

I am more and more convinced that a lot of the physical challenges I have
had are due to the somatization of emotional junk that I have carried. I am
    going to continue to tap.

    Kathryn
