EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUES:
UNIQUE FEATURES OF EFT
EFT has several unique features that set it apart from other complementary
healing modalities.  For instance, there is one basic tapping routine, which is
effective for both physical and emotional issues.  This makes EFT simple
enough for even a child to learn and practice effectively.

Another difference is that healthy shifts in a person's perceptions often occur
as the energy meridians are brought into balance.  For example, a man whose
father was unable to offer affection may go from believing, "My father hated
me," to realizing that, "My dad didn't know how to show me that he loved me."
Physical symptoms that have been attached to these emotions often subside as
old beliefs shift to new and healthier ones.

EFT can also help injuries heal faster.  For instance, sports injuries that could
sideline a player generally heal much more quickly when EFT is part of the
healing regimen.

Finally, EFT typically produces results that extend long-term.  When the
process is done properly, the symptom or issue most often vanishes and does
not return.  This is true with such diverse issues as grief, traumatic memories,
or phobias, as well as physical symptoms.

If a symptom or issue seems to "reappear," it generally means that the core
issue was not fully addressed.  You simply repeat the procedure on the new
aspect that surfaces.  An example of this might be the person who uses EFT for
fear of flying.  After tapping several rounds, off they go to the airport.  All goes
well getting on the plane, even taking off, until perhaps they encounter some
in-flight turbulence.  If this causes a spike in anxiety, the fear of flying hasn't
returned.  EFT has not failed to work.  This is simply an aspect that was not
addressed before.  The fearful flier can apply EFT immediately, regarding this
new aspect.  Within a few minutes, the anxiety is usually reduced to a
manageable level or eradicated completely.
"Meridian-based therapies such as EFT... can have effects out
of all proportion to their cost and complexity."
 Norm Shealy, M.D.
